'Scenery'
Kimono
(both parts) and a table cloth (see Red I) with dried stains of calves
blood, hanging in front of the spectators above a table with a clean tablecloth,
with blood stained crystal glasses laid bottoms up on it. A graduated
1 litter measuring glass, fill with red wine. A black & white drawing
of the crucifix, horizontally placed, parallel to the ceiling. (220x200
cm., coal & water-colours on paper)
Medical
equipment for blood transfusion, syringe needles /3 pieces/, piercing
through the crucifix drawing where the pals and the crossed feet are.
Calves blood in 3 litter plastic transparent bags installed at the ceiling.
White cloth cross-shaped and spread on the floor, under the crucifix,
microphones/3 pieces, placed under the cloth where the blood is dripping
out of the syringe needles, amplifier and speakers to fill in the space
with the sounds of the blood dripping, record player and a record of a
bell ringing, round transparent glass bowl to be thrown down on the floor,
at the point where the head of Christ from the drawing is projected.
Lights:
oriented bottom up and mapping out active space from both left and right
(500W reflection lamps set in two rows, four of them in a row)
Action: gathering drops of blood, breaking down
the bowl where the blood was gathered, drinking up greedily the wine from
the graduated glass, tiny wine streaks running down the neck and the clothes
of the performer.
